Ford is the market leader in the van segment for the ninth consecutive year in Denmark 2022. The Ford Transit Custom not only left the other vans behind, but also had to beat the passenger cars.

There is no way to separate vans and Ford. With 4,271 units sold in 2022, the Ford Transit Custom is again the best-selling van. Ford has sold the most vans for nine years in a row, but the numbers are still different yearly. The Ford Transit Custom is not only the best-selling van but also the best-selling car model in Denmark for both vans and regular cars.

The head of Commercial Vehicles, Tom Maxmlris, says: "We are very proud that we have the most market share at the end of the year and that the Ford Transit Custom was the best-selling car in 2022. It is a huge accomplishment that would not have been possible without our Transit Business Centers, which make a huge difference in every piece of work, especially in these times ".

With 4,271 units sold, the Ford Transit Custom is first in the market as a whole. In 2022, another Ford model will be at the top of the sales charts. With 4,080 units sold, the Ford Kuga is in second place. Ford has a clear lead over this country's top three best-selling cars for the second year.

The Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid was the best-selling passenger car in Denmark in 2021. It is also the best-selling plug-in hybrid in Denmark for the third year in a row, and there are many signs that demand for the popular plug-in hybrid will keep going strong this year.

There's no doubt that the Ford Transit Custom's reputation is hard to live up to, but when the Ford E-Transit Custom, Ford's electric version of the popular van, comes out later this year, van buyers will have a lot to look forward to. With a range of up to 380 km (WLTP) and a 125 kW DC fast charger, the electric van is an obvious and safe choice in many ways. The new Ford E-Transit Custom has a class-leading towing capacity of up to 2,000 kg and a payload capacity of up to 1,100 kg. Both of these features help improve productivity.

With a 100 mm lower loading height, the van is even easier to get into, and the many digital solutions and features inside can help customers get more done in less time. For example, the cabin of a van with a 5G connection can be turned into a mobile office in an instant. The steering wheel can be turned into a comfortable table where you can put your laptop or eat lunch.

In other words, there are many good reasons to make the traditional van into an electric version.
