Mercedes-Maybach has just unveiled its very first electrically powered vehicle model. The Mercedes-Maybach S 580 e is the company's most premium model, making the car even more comfortable and quiet than it already was. The total system output is around 510 horsepower, and the electric-only driving range is approximately 10 miles.
The Mercedes-Maybach brand is reserved only for the company's most opulent automobiles; as such, the S-Class that bears these letters on the trunk lid is undeniably among the most beautiful cars ever produced.
Mercedes-Maybach is introducing its first plug-in hybrid vehicle, the S 580 e, for the very first time. A luxury vehicle whose interior is typically very quiet is made much quieter when operating in electric mode. This is an automobile that can glide through embassies and hotels without making any noise and without using any fuel.
When operating solely on electricity, the vehicle has a range of around 10 miles and a combined fuel usage of approximately 0.1 liters per mile. The combustion engine is a straight 6 with 3 liters of displacement and 367 hp, while the electric motor has 150 hp. They deliver a combined output of 510 hp and a maximum torque of 750 Nm. If you're in a hurry, you can do 0–100 in 5.1 seconds, and the top speed is 250 kilometers per hour. Charging the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 e using 11 kW of alternating current (AC) is possible.
For the time being, we must make educated guesses about the pricing; however, the lower emissions of the new powertrain will ensure that the beginning price is much cheaper than that of the eight- or twelve-cylinder variants. For example, a Mercedes-Maybach with V8 and all-wheel drive starts at $262,100, while a Mercedes-Benz S580 with V8 and all-wheel drive starts at $210,900.
