About four seconds and a little more, that's how much faster the latest Porsche 911 GT3 is around the Nürburgring Nordschleife when it has a Manthey Performance Kit. The special kit, which has different aerodynamic and chassis parts, makes the GT version of the 992 even faster and sharper. The kit was made for the most dedicated track fans, making driving a GT3 on a track even more exciting.
And now the Danish fans also benefit from Manthey. The Porsche Center in Copenhagen is one of the only places in the world authorized to sell and install the lovely kit. Both new and used models can have the Manthey Performance Kit on them.
The Manthey Performance Kit is part of the original Porsche Equipment program and has parts that improve the car's aerodynamics and chassis. Motorsport engineers made the kit from Porsche in Weissach, and experts from Manthey in Meuspath working closely together.
Manthey-Racing really got known when it won the GT class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1999. In 2013, Porsche AG bought 51 percent of the German racing team Manthey. Since then, Manthey has supported Porsche's GT factory program in the WC series.
The team's headquarters are only three kilometers from the Nürburgring Nordschleife, where Manthey has won the most 24-hour races. This gives the team easy access to one of the world's toughest test tracks, where the Manthey Performance Kit was created.
The Manthey Performance Kit can be seen on the aero package, which has a larger front spoiler, side flaps, and modified aero parts under the car that increase the amount of downforce on the front axle of the car.
Changes can also be seen in the back, where the already large, adjustable rear wing has been made even bigger. This, along with the so-called Gurney Flap on the wing's back edge, puts more pressure on the rear axle. Lastly, the endplates of the wings are now bigger and have the Manthey logo, which is well-known among motorsport fans.
The diffuser is under the back of the car. In the Manthey trim, the diffuser is made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), and the fins have been made longer to improve how the air flows. The light and strong plastic is also used to make the beautiful aero discs that cover the back wheels and help the car's aerodynamic performance even more.
The 20- and 21-inch forged alloy wheels, already available for the Porsche 911 GT3, cut the weight by a total of 7.3 kilograms and go well with the Manthey Performance Kit. With the kit, the brakes are also given steel-reinforced brake hoses. This makes it possible to increase the accuracy of the brake pressure and take corners even more sharply. With the Manthey Performance Kit, you can also get brake pads made especially for it.
Lastly, the Manthey Performance Kit has backlit door panels and spots that project the Manthey logo onto the asphalt when the doors are opened. In case you crash and need help to get back on track, the kit also comes with useful red pull straps for the front and back.
Porsche Center Copenhagen will be the only place in Denmark where the Manthey Performance Kit for the Porsche 991 II GT3 RS, Porsche 991 II GT2 RS, or Porsche 992 GT3 can be bought, installed, and advice given. In addition, Porsche Center Copenhagen specializes in making regular GT models run better, for example, by changing the chassis and wheel geometry and adjusting the car's balance.
